The Salvation Army Huntsville Church Interior

Huntsville Corps (Church)

Worship Services are held weekly on Sundays 10:30 am to approximately 11:30am.

According to Wikipedia a Church is a building used for religious activities, particularly Christian worship service. We are not just a church! We are part of The Christian Church. A church is a building that was constructed to allow people to meet to worship together. The Christian Church is people that are under construction, being built into the image of God. The Christian Church is a term used to refer to the whole group of people belonging to the Christian religious tradition. “Christian Church” does not refer to a particular Christian denomination, but to the body of all believers. Therefore The Salvation Army Huntsville Corps is a part of the “Christian Church”.

After our services there is a time of fellowship where people can share in a cup of tea or coffee and when available a little treat.

An extension of our church takes place within our Community Care Ministry. Community Care Ministries exists to provide spiritual and social ministry to the needy in the name of Jesus Christ and to be a transforming influence in the community.

It consists of a group of spiritually motivated men, women and young people who engage in compassionate, caring ministry, coming alongside the vulnerable, the lonely, the sick and the aged with love and acts of mercy.

Its main focus is on building a better community through care and prayer, and on expressing the love of Christ in a practical way by reaching out to the lonely and hurting in our communities.
