Since 1886 The Salvation Army in Huntsville is a church with an active outreach mission, providing hope, care, and practical help to those in need.

Huntsville operates as both a church and a community support centre, offering worship services, pastoral care, and a range of practical programs. These include a food bank, emergency assistance, clothing support, and seasonal programs like Christmas Assistance. Its mission is to share the love of Jesus Christ while meeting physical, emotional, and spiritual needs in the community.
